Let $p$ be an odd prime and let $A,B\subseteq\mathbb{F}_p$ be nonempty and distinct, with $|A|\ge |B|$. We give a complete classification of the pairs for which the mixed restricted sumset $A\mathbin{\widehat+} B=\{x+y:x\in A,\ y\in B,\ x\ne y\}$ has size $\min\{p,|A|+|B|-2\}$. The main new contribution concerns the interior range $|A|+|B|\le p-1$. For $|B|\ge3$ and $|A|-|B|\ge3$, criticality forces $A$ and $B$ to be common-endpoint arithmetic progressions, apart from a single common affine orbit with $(p,|A|,|B|)=(13,7,4)$. For $|A|-|B|\in\{1,2\}$, criticality itself forces $B\subsetneq A$, after which the restricted self-sum determines the deletion patterns. Together with the remaining cases, this yields the complete classification.

A Generalization of Molino's Theory to Riemannian Groupoids
Riemannian groupoids describe Riemannian foliations together with their symmetries. In this article, we extend classical Molino's theory, which concerns the structure of Riemannian foliations on compact manifolds, to the setting of regular Riemannian groupoids with compact connected object manifolds. We observe that the orbit foliation associated with a regular Riemannian groupoid defines a Riemannian foliation on the object manifold. The main result shows that the normal representation of a Riemannian groupoid extends naturally to an action on Molino's structures of the orbit foliation, thereby yielding the fundamental structural description of a regular Riemannian groupoid. In addition to the main result, we clarify the essential role played by basic Lie algebroids in Molino's theory and identify the normal representation with the degree-one cohomology representation of the adjoint representation up to homotopy. We also establish comparison results under Riemannian Morita equivalence. For regular Riemannian groupoids, we give sufficient conditions for the associated basic Lie algebroids to become isomorphic after pullback to a common refinement.

Consistent intercept estimation and inference for unit-root INAR(2) processes
\citet{barczy2014asymptotic} showed that the ordinary least-squares (OLS) estimator of the innovation mean is inconsistent for a unit-root INAR(2) process. We construct a consistent intercept estimator using inverse-time weighted least squares (WLS) and derive its mixed-rate asymptotics: the intercept estimator is asymptotically normal at rate $\sqrt{\log n}$, with a Gaussian limit independent of the autoregressive limits, while the autoregressive estimators retain their OLS rates. We develop an OLS unit-root test calibrated with WLS nuisance estimates. Under the maintained unit root, residual-score Gaussian intervals for the innovation mean and long-run drift remain asymptotically valid after test nonrejection. Simulations show that WLS reduces root mean squared error for both quantities relative to OLS, with further gains from imposing the unit root. An application to two Canadian flood inventories shows that conclusions about persistence depend on the inventory and weighting offset.

Nonclosure of stationary Yang-Mills connections under weak convergence
We construct a sequence of stationary weak Yang-Mills connections on the trivial vector bundle $B^5\times\mathbb{R}^{15}$ with structure group $\operatorname{SO}(15)$ whose weak limit is a nonstationary weak Yang-Mills connection. Motivated by the stationarity question arising in Tian's work on Yang-Mills compactness, our result establishes the failure of weak closure for stationary weak Yang-Mills connections with an isolated singularity. It also provides a Yang-Mills analogue of the phenomenon exhibited by Ding, Li and Li for harmonic maps.

On Positively Curved Einstein Four-Manifolds with Euler Characteristic at Most Three
It is conjectured that a complete, orientable Einstein four-manifold with strictly positive sectional curvature must be isometric to either the round four-sphere $S^4$ or the complex projective plane $\mathbb{CP}^2$ with the Fubini–Study metric. In this paper, we confirm this conjecture when the manifold is homeomorphic to $S^4$ or $\mathbb{CP}^2$. More precisely, we show that a complete, orientable Einstein four-manifold $M$ with strictly positive sectional curvature and Euler characteristic $\chi(M) \le 3$ (equivalently, by Freedman's classification theorem, homeomorphic to $S^4$ or $\mathbb{CP}^2$) is isometric to either the round $S^4$ or the Fubini–Study $\mathbb{CP}^2$. As an application, we obtain that a complete, orientable Einstein four-manifold with strictly positive sectional curvature admitting a nontrivial Killing field is isometric to either the round $S^4$ or the Fubini–Study $\mathbb{CP}^2$.

Super calibers in topological spaces and topological hyperspaces
We study the notion of a super caliber of a topological space, which is closely related to the classical notion of caliber and has appeared in the literature under several different names. We collect and unify several known results and establish new results concerning the collections of super calibers of topological spaces and their hyperspaces. In particular, we investigate the relationship between the super calibers of a space $X$ and those of hyperspaces $\mathcal{H}(X)$ lying between $\mathrm{CL}(X)$ and $\mathcal{F}(X)$. For infinite metrizable spaces, we characterize several cases in which $\mathsf{SC}(X)$ and $\mathsf{SC}(\mathrm{CL}(X))$ differ and establish an independence result over ZFC; see Theorem~5.12.

Streaming PCA: averaging from a geometric perspective
We study principal component analysis (PCA) under memory constraints, a setting that is increasingly important in large-scale data analysis. Our focus is on Oja's algorithm, which is a one-pass, memory-efficient algorithm requiring only $O(p)$ storage in the rank-one case and $O(pk)$ storage for $k$- PCA. The main goal is to develop a procedure based on Oja's algorithm that is optimal without prior knowledge of the eigengap, which is otherwise needed to tune the learning rates effectively. We do this by first introducing a geometric perspective on the convergence of $k$-PCA: by embedding the Oja iterates into the exterior space, we establish an exact equivalence between $k$-PCA in the ambient space and $1$-PCA in the exterior space. This geometric viewpoint enables us to establish several convergence guarantees, including one based only on a single learning-rate schedule. Building on this geometric perspective, we develop an averaging theory for $k$-PCA and show that the resulting averaged estimator is adaptive: it achieves the nearly optimal convergence rate without prior knowledge of the eigengap. As an application, we construct memory-efficient estimators for elliptical component analysis (ECA) \cite{han2014scale,han2018eca}. Simulation studies and real data analysis are conducted to demonstrate the benefits of our proposed algorithms.

Super-approximation and optimal $L^2$ convergence of the stabilized BGN method with piecewise linear parametric finite elements for curve-shortening flow
We develop a bihomotopy argument to estimate the discrete material time derivatives of consistency functionals. Combined with summation-by-parts, this argument yields a directional super-convergence estimate for the consistency contribution when tested with the normal error velocity. Together with the super-approximation of the reversely weighted discrete normal, these techniques establish $L_t^\infty H_x^1$ super-convergence of the projection error and optimal $L_t^\infty L_x^2$ convergence of the trajectory error of a stabilized BGN method for curve-shortening flow with piecewise linear parametric finite elements.

Global flows for the cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation without decay assumptions
For each positive integer $N$, we construct global spectral group actions for the defocusing and focusing nonlinear Schrödinger hierarchies on initial-data classes containing $W^{2N+1,\infty}(\mathbb R)$. For $N\ge2$, the quadratic flow gives global classical cubic NLS solutions. The construction extends the Sato–Segal–Wilson and Kotani frameworks to matrix Dirac systems; a homogeneous tau-function identity supplies the focusing positivity. No decay, smallness, periodicity, arithmetic condition, or prescribed spectral background is required for the initial-data inclusion. As a principal application, we prove global well-posedness on $M_{\infty,1}^{5}(\mathbb R)$ for both signs, with finite-time bounds and locally Lipschitz dependence on initial-data norm balls. The passage to this Banach-space flow uses near-real-axis Weyl asymptotics and continuity of normalized Toeplitz operators on compact initial-data sets to obtain uniform spatial bounds from five bounded derivatives. In the defocusing case, the flow extends to $M_{\infty,1}^{5}(\mathbb R)+H^1(\mathbb R)$. Further consequences include quantitative approximation, preservation of spatial Bohr almost periodicity and its frequency module, conjugacy of spatial translation hulls, and preservation of the full complex Dirac spectrum and spatial transfer growth rates.

The Deterministic Broadcast Channel Revisited: A Bipartite Graph Approach
The general broadcast channel (BC) has attracted considerable attention because it is a central problem in network or multi-user information theory. The deterministic BC (det-BC), in which both output symbols are functions of the input symbol, plays a vital role in understanding general BCs. In the 1970s, Marton and Pinsker investigated the det-BC independently using a random coding approach and hence quantified its capacity region as functions of the entropy of output symbols. In this paper, we present a purely deterministic and combinatorial treatment of the deterministic BC, which is in contrast to Marton and Pinsker's probabilistic treatment. In particular, we show that each det-BC can be uniquely and completely characterized by a bipartite graph. Based on the bipartite graph model, we present the explicit capacity region of the general det-BC and a deterministic capacity-achieving coding scheme. Specifically, each point on the capacity region boundary is expressed as an explicit function of the degree sequences of the two parts, with boundary coordinates parametrized by the tangent slope. As a result, a closed-form capacity region, which was previously unknown except for special cases such as the Blackwell channel, can be analytically determined, without optimizing the probability distribution of input symbols numerically. For a bipartite graph consisting of multiple isolated subgraphs, there can exist a commonly decodable message while preserving the maximum achievable sum rate, and its achievable rate is explicitly characterized. Finally, the bipartite-graph formulation allows us to construct optimal finite-blocklength coding for the det-BC through binary linear programming.

Boundary Kernel Rigidity and Infinite-Dimensional Complex Hyperbolic Representations
For n>=2, we prove a rigidity theorem for the Hermitian boundary kernels L_{t,s}(x,y)=|1-<x,y>|^t exp(is arg(1-<x,y>)), x != y, on S^{2n-1}, with L_{t,s}(x,x)=0, t>0, and s in [-1,1]. Every finite Gram matrix of L_{t,s} has positive index at most one if and only if 0<t<=1 and s=+-t. The proof combines Fourier analysis on boundary circles with restrictions to two orthogonal complex directions. The dimension threshold is sharp. By normalizing the Gram kernels of equivariant boundary maps, we show that the translation-length factor t and the signed Cartan factor s of every continuous irreducible representation from PU(n,1) to the holomorphic isometry group of infinite-dimensional complex hyperbolic space satisfy s=+-t. Combining this with the known endpoint rigidity, Monod's constructions, and Ruiz Stolowicz's complete-invariant theorem yields the classification: the holomorphic conjugacy classes are parametrized by (t,epsilon) in (0,1) x {+-1}. Allowing anti-holomorphic conjugacy identifies the two signs. Using Monod's automatic-continuity argument and the same boundary rigidity, we also classify all irreducible self-representations of the full isometry group of infinite-dimensional complex hyperbolic space. Up to conjugacy, these are precisely Monod's representations with parameter 0<t<=1. In particular, the canonical-orbit hypothesis in Monod's classification theorem is automatic.

Simultaneous Reduction of Observables and Measured Qudits in Entanglement-Assisted Quantum Local Recovery
For a general entanglement-assisted or unassisted quantum error-correcting code, a set of erasures, and an associated repair group, we propose a linear algebraic procedure to compute a reduced set of observables and a reduced repair group of codeword qudits for correcting the given erasures. The procedure has cubic complexity in the repair group size and the computed set of observables has the smallest possible size for correcting the given erasures. We specialize the general procedure to quantum codes constructed from Euclidean and Hermitian orthogonality, and provide closed-form upper bounds on the size of reduced repair groups for those special cases. Based on these closed-form bounds, we propose quantum counterparts of the information locality of classical local recovery.

Full negative regression dependence: counterexamples for tail dependence and negative association
We show that full negative regression dependence implies neither negative right-tail dependence nor negative left-tail dependence. A strictly positive distribution on a 2*2*3 rectangular state space provides an exact counterexample for the right-tail case, and its coordinatewise reflection yields a counterexample for the left-tail case. We further prove that this state-space size is minimal. The counterexample is established via a finite upper-set criterion using exact integer arithmetic. We also resolve the open question of whether full negative regression dependence implies negative association. A strictly positive distribution on {0,1,2}^4 satisfies full negative regression dependence yet violates negative association; this counterexample is verified by 17532 exact integer inequalities. The main results of this paper were first uncovered by the multi-agent mathematical system Eureka and later verified by the authors.

Semiampleness on Jacobian elliptic surfaces of Kodaira dimension one
Let $\pi: X\to \mathbb P^1$ be a semistable Jacobian elliptic surface over $\mathbb C$, and set $\chi=\chi(\mathcal O_X)\ge3$, so that $\kappa(X)=1$. Assume that the Mordell-Weil group of $\pi$ is finite and that $\pi$ has at least one reducible fiber, the reducible fibers being of types $I_{n_1},\cdots, I_{n_s}$. Recently, Laface et al. proved that the zero section and the components of the reducible fibers generate $\overline{\mathrm NE}(X)$ if and only if $$\delta(\pi):=\sum_{i=1}^s\frac{\lfloor n_i^2/4\rfloor}{n_i}\le\chi.$$ In particular, the Mori cone is rational polyhedral in this range. They also proved that $N(\pi)=\sum_{i=1}^s n_i\le 2\chi+3$ implies that $X$ is a Mori dream surface. In this paper, we study the existence problem of Mori dream surfaces provided that $N(\pi)\ge 2\chi+4$. Suppose $\delta(\pi)\le \chi$. We first show that every nef isotropic divisor on $X$ is semiample, and whenever each $n_i$ is even. Furthermore, when every $n_i$ is even, we obtain criteria for $X$ to be a Mori dream surface: $X$ is a Mori dream surface provided that either (i) all $n_i=2$, or (ii) $N(\pi)\le 2\chi+4$; if some $n_j=4$, then $X$ is a Mori dream surface if and only if $N(\pi)\le 2\chi+4$. However, once some $n_i$ is odd, we construct a Jacobian elliptic surface $\pi: Y\to\mathbb P^1$ with $\delta(\pi)=\chi=3$, trivial Mordell-Weil group, and singular-fiber configuration $I_4+3I_3+23I_1$ for which none of the eight non-vertical isotropic extremal rays is semiample. In particular, $Y$ is not a Mori dream surface.

Sparsely connected neural network representation of Lagrange finite element function
We construct a mesh-induced sparsely connected neural network framework that exactly reproduces arbitrary-order Lagrange finite element spaces over simplicial meshes. Unlike conventional black-box neural surrogates, the proposed network architecture is fully dictated by finite element discretization rules: local computations stem from simplex geometry and barycentric coordinate transformations, while global consistency is enforced through shared degrees of freedom. For linear Lagrange elements, local basis functions are directly implemented via affine barycentric layers, and high-order polynomial bases are explicitly decomposed into barycentric product compositions realized by specially designed $\mathrm{ReLU}^p$ modules. Equipped with element indicator branches and multiplication units, these modular local components are globally assembled into a sparsely connected neural network whose function space coincides exactly with the target finite element space, thereby inheriting the complete classical finite element approximation theory. By prescribing customized backward differentiation rules for piecewise activations, function values and their spatial gradients can be simultaneously extracted via automatic differentiation within a unified computational graph, eliminating the separate gradient calculation subroutines required in standard finite element implementations. Numerical experiments verify the accuracy of the neural network representation of Lagrange finite elements. Furthermore, by virtue of the intrinsic mesh-free nature of this neural network representation, finite element functions can be interpolated between non-matching meshes, and the proposed scheme can be applied to adaptive finite element methods for solving parabolic partial differential equations. An open-source code implementation of the proposed architecture is made publicly available.

Static classical-quantum-entanglement trade-offs: an entropic converse and single-letter characterizations
The direct static capacity region of a bipartite quantum state describes its asymptotic conversion into classical communication, quantum communication, and entanglement, with all communication directed from Alice to Bob. This paper gives a unified entropic converse for this region. The proof treats generated and consumed resources simultaneously and derives all three information inequalities for one local instrument. Its main ingredients are no-signalling, the chain rule, strong subadditivity, and continuity of conditional entropy. A supporting-hyperplane characterization leads to the static capacity formula, which is helpful in determining single-letterization of the capacity region. For a pure state of entanglement entropy $h$ subjected to erasure with probability $p$, the complete region is the convex hull of $0$ and $(0,-ph,(1-p)h)$, plus the unit-resource cone. This statement holds for arbitrary collective instruments by using subset-entropy inequalities related to earlier methods used for the dynamic capacity region of the erasure channel. Complete characterizations also hold for symmetrically extendible states and locally flagged pure-state mixtures. For maximally correlated states, the optimization over local instruments admits an exact matrix formulation and an additive outer bound. An explicit qubit example shows that a nonorthogonal discarded quantum memory can outperform every efficient instrument and every instrument with conditionally commuting discarded states. For states obtained by qubit dephasing of Schmidt-aligned pure states, an exact threshold characterizes when the static capacity formula vanishes, at every blocklength and after regularization. Full single-letter characterizations for general Hadamard states and for the remaining trade-offs for dephased states remain open, with sufficient additivity conditions identified.

Sign components of diagonal superspace coinvariants
We prove the sign-isotypic components of the coinvariant rings $R_n^{(2,1)}$ and $R_n^{(2,0)} \otimes R_n^{(0,1)}$ are isomorphic and show that the triply-graded multiplicity of this sign character is the Schröder polynomial $S_n(q,t,a)$, divided by $1+a$. This settles the sign-character component of a conjecture of Zabrocki (2019) on a module for the Delta theorem and proves a conjecture of F. Bergeron (2020) on the multiplicity of the sign character of $R_n^{(2,1)}$. Finally, using a result of Hogancamp (2017), we enhance a recent result of Gorsky–Mellit (2026) which relates the Khovanov–Rozansky homology of the $(n,n+1)$-torus knot to $R_n^{(2,0)} \otimes R_n^{(0,1)}$, by showing that the associated Poincaré series for this knot can be computed from the sign component of $R_n^{(2,1)}$.

Quasi-projective dimension for complexes via filtrations
We extend quasi-projective dimension and quasi-projective length from finitely generated modules to homologically finite complexes by using finite filtrations in the derived category. Our definitions recover the original invariants of Gheibi–Jorgensen–Takahashi for modules and behave well under exact functors, which simplifies the proofs of several results. We establish the Auslander–Buchsbaum formula, the derived depth and width formulas, and the dependency formula for complexes of finite quasi-projective dimension. Extending a result of Gheibi–Jorgensen–Takahashi, we show that every homologically finite complex has finite quasi-projective dimension over a suitable complete intersection ring. We also prove a new intersection theorem and a descent theorem for Serre's conditions. Finally, we obtain vanishing results for Tor, Ext, and Tate (co)homology, and also symmetry of eventual Ext vanishing.

$v$-adic Chowla-Selberg formula over function fields
Let $v$ be a finite place of a rational function field with finite constant field. We establish an Ogus-type $v$-adic Chowla-Selberg formula for $t$-motives with "complex multiplication" by subfields of Carlitz cyclotomic function fields. For this purpose, we first introduce the $v$-adic crystalline action of the Weil group on the de Rham spaces of $t$-motives via the de Rham-crystalline comparison isomorphism of Hartl-Kim, and use it to give a "$v$-isocrystal" period interpretation of special values of Thakur's $v$-adic geometric gamma function. Our Ogus-type formula is then based on the isogeny theorem for CM $t$-motives, together with a recipe for constructing "abelian CM types" given in the $\infty$-adic setting over function fields.

Mean field games with Hormander diffusions
In this paper, we study a class of degenerate mean field games (MFG, for short) systems with Hormander diffusion, in which the typical agent can move only along admissible direction. We establish the well-posedness of the MFG systems in intrinsic Holder spaces, which describes the Nash equilibria for a differential game with infinitely many small players. The analysis builds upon degenerate parabolic equations defined on the tours induced by Hormander vector fields without any group structure, for which we develop a global regularity theory for the first time in this general setting. A central difficulty arises from the anisotropic geometry of the state space, which induces non-commutativity and inhomogeneity of the underlying vector fields. Instead of the classical fundamental solution framework, we present an alternative method to derive a priori Schauder estimates for general Hormander degenerate parabolic equations via Campanato spaces.

The satisfiability threshold of random linear equations over finite commutative rings
We extend the study of random linear equations over finite fields to equations over finite commutative rings. We characterize precisely when the satisfiability threshold occurs at a sublinear scale; namely, when the random system become unsatisfiable with high probability with a number of constraints $m$ that is sublinear in $n$, the number of variables. In this regime, we determine the exact value of the satisfiability threshold. In the complementary regime where the satisfiability threshold is linear in $n$, we determine its precise value when $R$ is a principal ring. Interestingly, this value is independent of the choice of $R$, mirroring the same phenomenon when $R$ is a finite field. We further prove that this independence of $R$ breaks down if $R$ is nonprincipal. In particular, we investigate a classical family of nonprincipal rings and determine the satisfiability thresholds for all rings in this family. Remarkably, in this setting, the satisfiability threshold depends not only on the underlying ring, but also on other parameters defining the random linear equation model.

Exponentiable Objects and Function spaces in Lowen Fuzzy Topological Spaces
We study exponentiable objects and function spaces in the category of stratified Lowen fuzzy topological spaces over \(\I=[0,1]\). Using the Lowen fuzzy Sierpiński object \(\Sier\), which identifies \(\tau_X\) with \(C(X,\Sier)\), we explicitly determine the largest splitting topology on this mapping set. Its open weights \(\Phi:\tau_X\to\I\) are precisely those satisfying Scott continuity and a finite-tier compatibility condition induced by finite powers of \(\Sier\). This yields an intrinsic characterization: \(X\) is exponentiable if and only if every \(\mu\in\tau_X\) satisfies \[ \mu=\bigvee_{\lambda\triangleleft\Phi} (\const{\Phi(\mu)}\wedge\lambda), \qquad \lambda\triangleleft\Phi \Longleftrightarrow \const{\Phi(\nu)}\wedge\lambda\leq\nu \quad(\nu\in\tau_X). \] When this condition holds, \(Y^X\) has underlying set \(C(X,Y)\), with topology generated by \([\Phi,v](f)=\Phi(v\circ f)\). We also obtain a dual closed-set formulation and three applications. Exponentiability implies that \(\tau_X\) is a continuous lattice, although the converse fails. Moreover, a classical space \(X\) is exponentiable exactly when its induced fuzzy space \(\omega X\) is exponentiable in the entire stratified Lowen category. Finally, Lowen compact, strongly fuzzy compact, and \(N\)-compact Hausdorff spaces are exponentiable.

A Novel Hyperchaotic System Derived from Asymmetric Bidirectional Coupling of Two Lorenz Oscillators: Synchronization Analysis and Cryptographic Applications
This paper investigates a six-dimensional coupled Lorenz system obtained through bidirectional asymmetric diffusive coupling of two identical Lorenz oscillators. The proposed model is analyzed from both dynamical and synchronization perspectives. Dissipativity conditions, equilibrium points, local stability properties, and Lyapunov spectra are systematically examined. The results reveal wide regions of chaotic and hyperchaotic behavior, with up to three positive Lyapunov exponents depending on the coupling parameters. These findings provide a practical framework for selecting coupling configurations that guarantee hyperchaotic dynamics while preserving the simplicity of the classical Lorenz structure. \\ A Lyapunov-based synchronization analysis is then developed. By exploiting effective attractor bounds obtained from the actual system trajectories rather than conservative worst-case estimates, a less restrictive sufficient synchronization condition is derived. Under the classical Lorenz parameters, synchronization is guaranteed for $\alpha_1+\alpha_2>15.1$. \\ The synchronization performance is further evaluated through a parametric analysis of the synchronization time. Numerical results show that increasing the coupling strength significantly accelerates convergence toward the synchronization manifold. For a broad range of admissible coupling values, synchronization times below $0.5$ second are achieved, whereas previously reported Lorenz-based synchronization schemes typically require approximately $5$ seconds.

On Control of Drawdown: Robust Invariance and Optimality
Mitigating drawdown, the decline in wealth from its running peak, presents a canonical problem in path-dependent risk control. In this paper, we develop a finite-horizon control framework that enforces a prescribed maximum percentage drawdown limit in multi-asset stochastic systems. Our first result is an exact robust-invariance theorem characterizing every control action that preserves a prescribed drawdown limit against all supported returns. We show that every robustly safe control admits a drawdown-modulated form: the product of the current drawdown cushion and a feasible normalized direction. This yields a complete parameterization of robustly drawdown-safe policies. Additionally, under stagewise-independent returns, we show that optimizing over all robustly safe causal policies reduces to a one-dimensional Bellman recursion and yields an optimal robustly safe state-feedback policy. Finally, we characterize the linear time-invariant (LTI) gains satisfying a prescribed drawdown limit and prove that optimal drawdown modulation achieves no lower expected return under the same limit. Strict expected-return improvement holds for horizons of at least two stages whenever the LTI policy has positive expected one-stage net return.

Blind Deconvolution of Binary and Pattern Images with Pixel Intensity Constraints and Sparse Gradient Prior
Blind image deconvolution (BID) is a prominent research topic in the field of imaging sciences, given its significant practical applications. Most existing model-based BID methods focus on natural images, incorporating appropriate prior knowledge about both the underlying image and the blur kernel. However, for certain classes of images, such as barcodes, text, and patterns, pixels can only take very limited values, a specific prior that is often overlooked in the literature. In this article, we introduce a novel pixel intensity constraint to leverage this important information, improving recovery performance for these specialized image classes. Specifically, we propose a unified framework for blind binary and pattern image deconvolution that incorporates both the pixel intensity constraint and a gradient sparsity regularizer. Numerical experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms many existing BID techniques, achieving superior results in terms of both visual quality and quantitative metrics.

An $O(k\log(n/k))$ Bound on Spanning Bipartite Connectivity
For integers $1\le k\le n/2$, let $f(k,n)$ be the least integer $s$ such that every $s$-connected graph on $n$ vertices contains a spanning bipartite $k$-connected subgraph. Thomassen conjectured that $f(k,n)$ is bounded by a function of $k$ alone. Delcourt and Ferber proved $f(k,n)=O(k^3\log n)$, and Yuster subsequently obtained $f(k,n)\le22k^2\log_2 n$. We prove that, for $2\le k\le n/2$, \[ f(k,n)\le\min\left\{n-1,\, \left\lfloor6(k-1)\log_2\frac{n}{k-1}\right\rfloor\right\}. \] In particular, $f(k,n)=O(k\log(n/k))$.
