Korevaar-Schoen Energy and Interpolations of Fractional Sobolev mappings on Carnot groups
Yihan Cui
This paper investigates the theory of fractional Sobolev mappings between Carnot groups, with a particular focus on the Korevaar-Schoen energy functional and interpolation properties. We establish that weak contact equations hold for fractional Sobolev mappings on Carnot groups, generalizing classical results from the Euclidean setting to the sub-Riemannian framework. Our main results include: (1) the proof that fractional Sobolev mappings satisfying weak contact equations belong to the horizontal fractional Sobolev space $W_H^{s-\lambda,q}(\Omega;G_2)$ for any sufficiently small $\lambda>0$; (2) interpolation
theorems for fractional Sobolev mappings between Carnot groups, demonstrating that the limiting behavior as $s \to 1$ recovers the first-order Sobolev space; (3) a rigorous treatment of the Korevaar-Schoen energy on Carnot groups, including a characterization of its minimizers via horizontal differential forms.

Quotients of $L_1$ by subsequences of the Haar system have cotype 2
Stephen Dilworth, Denka Kutzarova, Mikhail Ostrovskii et al. (+1 more)
Let $Y$ be the closed linear span of a subsequence of the Haar system in $L_1$. We prove that the quotient space $L_1/Y$ has cotype~$2$. This result implies that transportation cost spaces on diamond graphs have cotype $2$.

Semilinear Neumann boundary value problems for measure-valued maps
Aleksei Kroshnin, Hugo Lavenant and Dmitry Vorotnikov
We study the Wasserstein lift of nonlinear Poisson systems with inhomogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. We establish the existence of minimizers using new estimates involving the $p$-moments of measure-valued traces. We also derive the optimality conditions, which turn out to be
matrix-valued generalizations of pressureless Euler equations. While deterministic minimizers exist under suitable convexity assumptions and for one-dimensional source domains, we show that genuinely measure-valued minimizers arise in higher dimensions. In particular, we construct examples in which the lifted and classical variational problems have different minimum values, thereby precluding the solutions to the lifted problem from being deterministic, despite the absence of any a priori mechanism enforcing measure-valued behavior. To the best of our knowledge, this phenomenon is new in the nonlinear elliptic theory.

Generalized Harmonic Measures: Synchronized Approximation, Representation and Quantitative Measure Recovery
Duchao Liu and Yunjie Wang
We study synchronized boundary and kernel approximation for harmonic measure systems satisfying nested mean-value identities. Under boundary concentration along a common subsequence, joint limits yield representation on a common refinement, and gluing gives uniqueness on the minimal boundary. Neighborhood nonvanishing gives full-sequence synchronized selection. For a compact set whose removal from a bounded $C^{1,1}$ domain in dimension at least three leaves a connected domain, zero Newtonian capacity is equivalent to concentration of one normalized singular kernel, constructed from harmonic measures, on a subsequence of one relatively compact exhaustion. For such zero-capacity sets, capacitary estimates give quantitative recovery of finite signed source measures on every prescribed relatively compact exhaustion. On rectifiable curve networks in three dimensions, the logarithmic error bound is sharp for this recovery formula in the class of finite measures. Boundary splitting and finite weighted metric graphs illustrate the gluing conclusions.

Explicity Defined Norms on $JT_*$ Spaces
Spiros A. Argyros and Pavlos Motakis
We present a Banach space $X_\alpha$, equipped with an explicit norm, whose properties resemble those of the predual $JT_*$ of the James Tree space. In particular, $X_\alpha$ admits a shrinking dyadic basis with the property that the sums of its elements over any segment are uniformly bounded. The space $X_\alpha$ is complementably $\ell_2$-saturated, and its dual $X_\alpha^*$ does not contain an isomorphic copy of $\ell_1$. Finally, the bidual $X_\alpha^{**}$ is also complementably $\ell_2$-saturated, and the quotient $X_\alpha^{**}/X_\alpha$ is isometric to $c_0(2^{\mathbb{N}})$.

Failure of the Pólya-Szegő inequality for the fractional gradient
Giorgio Stefani
We prove that the Pólya-Szegő inequality for the $L^p$ norm of the Riesz fractional $s$-gradient fails for every $p\in[1,2)$ and $s\in(0,1)$, thus providing a negative answer to a question posed by Nguyen and Squassina in 2017.

On the shape of the numerical range of some tridiagonal matrices
Arobinda Ghosh, Riddhick Birbonshi, Sarita Ojha et al. (+1 more)
In this paper, we study the elliptical shape of the numerical range of tridiagonal
matrices of orders $3,4$ and $5$ with zero entries on the main diagonal, a positive constant value $a$ along the super-diagonal, and sub-diagonal entries are \begin{align*} \begin{cases} r, sr^2, r^3, sr^4,\ldots, r^{n-1} & \mbox{ if $n$ is even, and } r, sr^2, r^3, sr^4,\ldots, sr^{n-1} & \mbox{ if $n$ is odd}, \end{cases} \end{align*} where $n$ denotes the order of the
matrix, $s>0$ and $r$ is a real number. We further investigate the flat portions on the boundary of the numerical range of these $n\times n$
matrices in the special case $r=-1$. Some results given in \cite{chien2011numerical} are obtained as a particular case of our results.

A unitary invariant for $C^*$-algebras generated by isometries with a twisted commutation relation
Sourav Ghosh and Haripada Sau
We investigate the classification of $C^*$-
algebras generated by pairs of isometries $(V_1, V_2)$ satisfying $V_1V_2=qV_2V_1$, where $q=e^{2\pi i\theta}$ with $\theta$ irrational, up to
unitary equivalence. Using a functional model that realizes pure $q$-commuting pairs on vector-valued Hardy spaces in terms of a uniquely associated triple $(\mathcal{F}, P, U)$ consisting of
Hilbert space $\mathcal{F}$, an orthogonal projection $P$ and a
unitary operator $U$, we analyze the internal structure of $C^*(V_1,V_2)$ via an extension of the $C^*$-
algebra generated by its minimal $q$-commuting
unitary extension by the defect ideal $\mathcal{I}_{\mathcal{D}} =\langle [V_1^*, V_1],[V_2^*, V_2]\rangle$. For pairs that are essentially doubly $q$-commuting, we show that $PUP|_{\operatorname{ran} P}$ is semi-Fredholm and prove that $|\operatorname{ind} PUP|_{\operatorname{ran} P}|$ is invariant under
unitary equivalence of the corresponding $C^*$-
algebras, thereby providing an explicit criterion for distinguishing non-equivalent pairs. This work extends the seminal 1978 results of Berger, Coburn, and Lebow for commuting isometries, while addressing the key technical nuances of this noncommutative setting: most notably, navigating the failure of Gelfand theory due to noncommutativity and replacing the classical Toeplitz extension by an extension of the noncommutative
torus by the ideal of compact operators.

Solutions to the 'moment property implies subnormality' and injectivity problems for composition operators on one-circuit graphs
Piotr Budzyński, Zenon Jan Jabłoński, Il Bong Jung et al. (+1 more)
We consider composition operators in $L^2(\mu)$, where $\mu$ is a discrete measure. Our main result shows that, for every integer $p\ge2$, there exists a non-hyponormal composition operator that generates Stieltjes moment sequences and whose symbol induces a directed graph consisting of a
circuit of length $p$ and one infinite branch. In contrast, if the symbol induces a directed graph consisting of one loop and one infinite branch, then the generation of Stieltjes moment sequences does imply subnormality. These two results completely solve the “moment property implies subnormality” problem left open in [Adv. Math. 310 (2017), 484-556] for the entire family of one-branch directed graphs with a
circuit of arbitrary length. Combining them with the examples in that paper shows that, for directed graphs consisting of one loop and a finite number of infinite branches, $2$ is the smallest number of branches for which the moment property does not imply subnormality. Finally, we construct a noninjective composition operator that generates Stieltjes moment sequences and whose symbol induces a directed graph consisting of one loop, one infinite branch, and one leaf. This operator gives a negative answer to the injectivity problem posed in the aforementioned paper. Both constructions use the Krein and Friedrichs measures of an arbitrary normalized S-indeterminate Stieltjes moment sequence.

Rigidity of unit spheres in finite-dimensional real normed spaces
Jumpei Nakamura and Ryotaro Tanaka
We prove that finite-dimensional real normed spaces with isometric unit spheres are linearly isometric, where each sphere carries the distance induced by the ambient norm. This answers the object-level question of Kadets and Martín in finite dimensions, without asserting linear extension of a prescribed sphere isometry. We associate with each norm a family of Plücker contraction bodies generated by volume-normalized maximal minors of linear contractions into finite-dimensional $\ell_\infty$ spaces. Null-Lagrangian identities show that the sphere metric determines these bodies. A finite exposed-face construction recovers almost-norming contractions from the convexified data, and compactness together with an exact volume identity yields a linear isometry.

Rough spectral asymptotics for commutators of general singular integrals
Tuomas Hytönen
Recently, Schatten class membership of commutators arising from Connes' quantised calculus has been characterised in a general framework, which covers multiple concrete situations of interest. In contrast to this, related results dealing with the asymptotic behaviour of the singular values of these commutators have been restricted to a relatively short list of specific examples only. In this work, we show that a version of the spectral asymptotic formula, involving comparable lower and upper limits in place of an exact limit, remains valid in great generality of singular integrals over metric measure spaces. A key proof ingredient of independent interest is a new asymptotic version of the Marcinkiewicz interpolation
theorem. We also present a new approach to commutator upper bounds at the critical index; while not quite as general as more elaborate methods, it is general enough to reproduce the known upper bounds in Heisenberg and Carnot groups in a much simpler way.

A unified approach to nonlinear Stein theorems
Arka Mallick and Swarnendu Sil
We study regularity for the variable exponent quasilinear $\mathfrak{p}\left(x\right)$-Laplace type equation on domains in Heisenberg groups and Euclidean spaces. We establish borderline continuity estimates for the appropriate first order derivatives of solutions. More precisely, we show that for any weak solution $u \in \mathbb{E}W^{1, \mathfrak{p}(\cdot)}\left(\Omega\right)$ of \begin{align*} \operatorname{div}_{\mathbb{E}} \left( \mathfrak{a}(x) \lvert \nabla_{\mathbb{E}} u \rvert^{\mathfrak{p}\left(x\right)-2} \nabla_{\mathbb{E}} u \right) = f \qquad \text{ in } \Omega, \end{align*} where $\Omega \subset \mathbb{E}^{n}$, $\mathfrak{a}$ is a uniformly positive bounded scalar function and the exponent function $\mathfrak{p}$ is uniformly bounded away from $1$ and $\infty,$ $\nabla_{\mathbb{E}}u$ is continuous in $\Omega$ as soon as $f \in L^{\left( Q_{\mathbb{E}}, 1\right)}\left(\Omega\right)$ and $\mathfrak{a}, \mathfrak{p}$ satisfies some conditions regarding the summability of their mean-oscillations. Here $\mathbb{E}^{n}$ is either the Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}_{n}$ or the Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ and $\operatorname{div}_{\mathbb{E}}$, $\nabla_{\mathbb{E}}$, $Q_{\mathbb{E}}$ stands for the corresponding divergence, gradient and homogeneous dimension, respectively. We treat the elliptic and subelliptic cases in a unified manner using Euclidean techniques and our conditions on $\mathfrak{a}$ and $\mathfrak{p}$ are new and weaker than all the known sufficient conditions even in the Euclidean case. However, all the known sufficient conditions imply our conditions, achieving yet another unification.

The weak type $(1,1)$ estimate of Dirichlet Means for unbounded noncommutative Vilenkin systems
Guixiang Hong and Tiantian Zhao
Let $\mathcal{R}$ be the hyperfinite $\mathrm{II}_1$ factor. Considering the partial sum operators $(\mathcal{S}_n)_{n\geq 1}$ of the noncommutative Vilenkin-
Fourier series associated with an arbitrary admissible Vilenkin group, we prove that there exists a universal constant $c>0$ such that \begin{equation*} \sup_{n\geq1}\|\mathcal{S}_n(f)\|_{L_{1,\infty}(\mathcal{R})} \leq c\|f\|_{L_1(\mathcal{R})},\quad f \in L_1(\mathcal{R}), \end{equation*} and, for every $1<p<\infty$, $$\sup_{n\geq1}\|\mathcal{S}_n(f)\|_{L_p(\mathcal{R})} \leq c\frac{p}{p-1}\|f\|_{L_p(\mathcal{R})},\quad f \in L_p(\mathcal{R}).$$ Besides the transference technique, the main novel ingredient is a modified version of noncommutative Calderón-Zygmund decomposition established in \cite{CCP2022}. Consequently, we resolve the problem of weak type $(1,1)$ estimate communicated to the authors by Fedor Sukochev, and substantially improve the strong type (p,p) estimates obtained in \cite{DFdePS2001} by achieving the optimal order $\frac{p}{p-1}$.

Symmetric Kahane–Salem–Zygmund Inequalities and the Supremum Norm
Daniel M. Pellegrino, Anselmo B. Raposo Jr. and Eduardo V. Teixeira
The Kahane–Salem–Zygmund inequality provides unimodular $m$-linear forms with small supremum norm. We consider its dimension-free symmetric constant $C_m^{\mathrm{sym}}$ over the real scalar field, defined by the requirement that, for every $n$, some real symmetric unimodular $m$-linear form $A:(\ell_\infty^n)^m\to\mathbb R$ satisfy \[ \|A\|\le C_m^{\mathrm{sym}}n^{(m+1)/2}. \] For complex scalars, Boas obtained under permutation
symmetry an upper bound of order at most $\sqrt{m\log m}\,\sqrt{m!}$; over the real scalar field, an elementary argument gives the sharper order $\sqrt m\,\sqrt{m!}$. We prove \[ C_m^{\mathrm{sym}}\ge \left(\sqrt{\frac2e}+o(1)\right)\frac{\sqrt{m!}}m, \] using the square-free Walsh spectrum of the diagonal
polynomial. In the opposite direction, we establish \[ C_m^{\mathrm{sym}}\le C_0\sqrt{m!}, \] where $C_0$ is absolute, removing the factor $\sqrt m$ from the real upper bound. This estimate follows from a
geometric argument in which rigidity for Gram permanents reduces the relevant configurations to sets controlled by Gaussian width. For unrestricted unimodular forms, we also obtain a quantitative rectangular estimate from truncated Hadamard
matrices; in equal dimension, the normalized minimum is at most $1+o(1)$ whenever $m=o(n^{5/6})$.
