A Note on the Classification of Centroaffine Hypersurfaces

Cao and Wang recently classified a class of locally strongly convex centroaffine hypersurfaces whose non-vanishing Tchebychev vector field $T$ satisfies $K(T,X)=\alpha X$ and $X(\alpha)=0$ for every $X\perp T$, together with $K(T,T)=\beta T$. In the degenerate case $\beta=2\alpha$, their higher-dimensional argument assumes in addition that the $T^\perp$-component of the difference tensor $K$ vanishes identically. We show that this extra assumption is unnecessary and the theorem can be strengthened.

Partial Regularity of Stable Stationary Harmonic Maps into Compact Lie Groups

Let $M$ be a compact Riemannian manifold, and let $G$ be a compact Lie group with bi-invariant metric. We show that the singular set of any stable stationary harmonic map $u : M \to G$ has Hausdorff codimension at least four. This is sharp.

Deformations of generalized complex structures on $\mathcal{G}$-flat transitive Courant algebroids

We extend Gualtieri's deformation theorem for generalized complex structures on exact Courant algebroids to the more general class of $\mathcal{G}$-flat transitive Courant algebroids. Our approach relies on the framework of tame Fréchet spaces and Hamilton's Nash-Moser (implicit function) theorem. As an important step of the proof of our deformation theorem, we endow the group of autoequivalences of a $\mathcal{G}$-flat transitive Courant algebroid with a tame Fréchet Lie group structure and show that there exists a tame subgroup of exact autoequivalences, whose infinitesimal action is by inner derivations.

Integral Bott–Chern cohomology of Generalized Calabi–Eckmann threefolds

We compute the integral Bott–Chern cohomology of a class of generalized Calabi–Eckmann manifolds of complex dimension \(3\). Although these manifolds are mutually non-biholomorphic, we show that their integral Bott–Chern cohomology rings are nevertheless isomorphic. A cohomological distinction is then obtained via a characteristic map in cohomology, connecting singular, Dolbeault, and integral Bott–Chern cohomologies.

Algebraic Dimension and Reduction of LVMB manifolds

LVMB manifolds are a large class of compact complex non-Kähler and non-algebraic manifolds, constructed from an algebro-combinatorial datum. We provide an upper bound on their algebraic dimension and prove it to be sharp. Comparing our result with the lower bound found by Meersseman, we obtain the exact algebraic dimension of an LVMB manifold in many relevant cases. Pursuing our analysis further, we also obtain a description of the algebraic reduction of an LVMB manifold. From this, it emerges that Meersseman's lower bound coincides with the dimension of the rational component. This bimeromorphic invariant of an LVMB manifold is then computed in terms of the nonrationality degree of the associated toric quasifold. This is an invariant recently introduced by Battaglia and Prato, for which we provide an explicit formula.

Harmonic maps from spheres with lowest possible index and their properties

In this note, we prove that for n > 2 a harmonic map $\mathbb{S}^n \to \mathbb{CP}^m$, of index n+1 is pseudo horizontally weakly conformal, that $n$ must be odd. In particular, for even n every non-constant harmonic map $\mathbb{S}^n \to \mathbb{CP}^m$ has index at least n+2. We also present a harmonic map from $\mathbb{S}^4$ to $\mathrm{Gr}_{\mathbb{C}}(2,4)$ of index 5 that is not pseudo horizontally weakly conformal, so the statement does not extend to Grassmannians.

Orbifold Mapping Spaces via Bibundles

The existence of orbifold structures on mapping spaces between orbifolds was established in previous work, notably by W. Chen and B. Chen-Du-Liao. In this paper, we construct an infinite-dimensional orbifold structure on the mapping space in a more geometric way, using bibundles (or Hilsum-Skandalis morphisms), based on Lerman's description of orbifold morphisms. We construct a proper étale (or Fréchet) Lie groupoid representing the mapping space in the $C^k$, $C^\infty$, and $W^{k,p}$ settings, and show that its Morita equivalence class is independent of the choices of groupoid presentations. Locally, the mapping groupoid is isomorphic to the action groupoid of a finite group, where the finite group is identified with the automorphism group of the corresponding bibundle. This provides a concrete geometric framework for further studies of mapping spaces and moduli spaces on orbifolds, with applications to Floer theory on symplectic orbifolds.

Pluriclosed deformations of Bismut flat metrics

We deform the complex structure of compact simply-connected Bismut flat manifolds, obtaining new complex manifolds that admit pluriclosed metrics but do not admit Bismut flat metrics. This produces genuinely new examples of pluriclosed manifolds while enriching our understanding of the deformation theory of pluriclosed metrics. Moreover, our main result is relevant for the search of pluriclosed solitons and non-trivial Bismut Hermitian Einstein metrics in all dimensions.

Pointwise energy monotonicity for stable Higgs bundles

We study the Dai–Li conjecture concerning the pointwise monotonicity of the energy density along the $\mathbb C^*$-flow of stable $\mathrm{SL}(n,\mathbb C)$ Higgs bundles. We prove that the conjecture holds in rank two: for every stable $\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb C)$ Higgs bundle, the energy density is pointwise nondecreasing along the $\mathbb C^*$-orbit. In contrast, we show that this phenomenon is genuinely rank-dependent. For every rank $n\geq 3$, we construct stable $\mathrm{SL}(n,\mathbb C)$ Higgs bundles for which the energy density fails to be monotone along the $\mathbb C^*$-flow.

Supercritical dual k-Minkowski flows with general prescribed data: a priori estimates and asymptotic convergence

Let k be an integer from 1 to n, let f be a positive smooth function on the unit sphere, and consider the normalized flow X_t = -f({nu})|X|^{alpha} sigma_k({kappa}) {nu} + beta X, beta = C_n^k. In the supercritical range alpha > k+1, we prove the flow exists for all time and converges exponentially in C^{infty}, from every smooth strictly convex initial hypersurface enclosing the origin, to the unique smooth strictly convex solution of f(x)r^{alpha} sigma_k({kappa}) = beta u. The convergence is driven by the relative residual p = (log u)_t = beta - f(x)r^{alpha} {sigma}_k({kappa})/u, whose L^{infty} norm is nonincreasing and decays with the explicit exponent beta(alpha-k-1); the residual estimates are proved before, and independently of, the curvature estimates. Existence of a strictly convex solution of the stationary equation in this range, for arbitrary positive angular data, was previously obtained by Bryan-Ivaki-Scheuer through an expanding-type flow started from a barrier; the contribution here is the convergence of the normalized contracting flow from arbitrary initial data, with an explicit exponential rate, together with uniqueness of the limit.

Quantitative symplectic topology of Katok's examples and equivariant symplectic embeddings

The Katok examples on $S^2$ are induced by Randers metrics obtained by perturbing the round metric by the standard rotational Killing field: allowing a scaling factor of the round metric gives a two-parameter family of Randers metrics $F_{\alpha,\beta}$, parametrised by positive real numbers $(\alpha,\beta)$. We compute the set of all $(\alpha,\beta)\in (0,2+\sqrt{3})^2$ for which $D^*(S^2,F^*_{\alpha,\beta})$, the unit codisc bundle with respect to $F^*_{\alpha,\beta}$, symplectically embeds into the round codisc bundle $D^*S^2$. This set has the structure of an infinite staircase. We also establish a dictionary between embeddings of these codisc bundles, singular $A_1$-ellipsoid embeddings, and $\mathbb{Z} _2$-equivariant ellipsoid embeddings, showing that these embedding problems are equivalent. Furthermore, we prove the analogous results for the $\mathbb{R} P^2$ case and discuss a broader family of examples for which this dictionary applies.

Derived deformation theory of heterotic $G_2$ systems near the standard embedding

We study heterotic $G_2$ structures near a torsion-free standard embedding, to first order in $\alpha'$ and to all orders in formal deformations. The tangent connection is the Hull connection determined by the metric and flux. We construct a locally invertible family of differential operators relating the supersymmetry and instanton $BPS$ equations to the Euler-Lagrange equations of the heterotic superpotential. Using this comparison and the physical gauge symmetries, we construct a homological vector field locally formally conjugate to the Hamiltonian vector field of the superpotential. On a closed manifold in the fixed gerbe sector, the torsion equation implies vanishing of the leading flux. We prove ellipticity of the linearized deformation complex with mixed differential-order weights and construct a finite-dimensional cyclic $L_\infty$ model with a formal effective potential.

Submanifolds of higher rank with curvature normals of constant length

We study the local geometry of Euclidean submanifolds of rank at least two whose curvature normals with respect to the flat part of the normal bundle have constant length, equivalently, whose adapted third fundamental form has constant eigenvalues. The complete case was fully settled by Di Scala and the third author, who showed that such a complete submanifold has constant principal curvatures. Around a regular point, we show that $M$ is generated, via parallel manifolds, by a hypersurface $N$ whose extrinsic factors are contained in spheres and, when of dimension at least two, have rank one; conversely, such factors can be assembled to construct examples of $M$. The proof relies on the isoparametric rank theorem to rule out non-umbilical factors. As a further application, when the inner products of the curvature normals are constant, we show that there are exactly two eigendistributions, one of which is one-dimensional and autoparallel, extending, for arbitrary codimension when the normal bundle is flat, curvature-homogeneity results of Tsukada and the recent ones of Bryant, Florit, and Ziller for hypersurfaces.

Another sharp criterion for Dirac zero modes

We resolve an open problem posed by Frank–Loss. Let $n\ge 3$ and let $\varphi\in L^p(\mathbb{S}^n)$, with $\frac{n}{n-1}<p<\infty$, be a nontrivial Dirac zero mode on $\mathbb{S}^n$, i.e. a nonzero spinor satisfying \begin{equation*} D\varphi = iA\cdot\varphi, \end{equation*} where $D$ is the Dirac operator and $A$ is a vector field with $\mathrm{d} A^\flat\in L^{n/2}$. We prove the sharp lower bound \begin{equation*} \|\mathrm{d} A^\flat\|_{\frac{n}{2}} \ge 2\left[\frac{n}{2}\right]^{-\frac12}\frac{n-1}{n-2}S_n = \left[\frac{n}{2}\right]^{-\frac12}\frac{n(n-1)}{2}\omega_n^{\frac{2}{n}}. \end{equation*} Equality is attainable if and only if $n$ is odd; in that case, modulo conformal and gauge transformations, $\varphi$ is a Killing spinor and $A$ is a real multiple of the Reeb field associated with $\varphi$. The case $n=3$ was proved in our recent paper using a different method. In the paper we divide the remaining cases into 3 cases: i) $n\ge 5$ is odd, ii) $n\ge 5$ is even and iii) $n=4$. All these cases need to use different methods. For $n\ge 5$, the argument crucially reduces to an improved Sobolev inequality on $\mathbb{S}^n$ under a barycenter constraint. Specifically, for $u\in W^{1,2}(\mathbb{S}^n)$ we consider \begin{equation*} \mathfrak{a}_n := \inf\Bigg\{ \frac{ \int \Big(|\nabla u|^2 + \frac{n(n-2)}{4}u^2\Big) - \frac{n(n-2)}{4}\omega_n^{\frac{2}{n}}\|u\|_{\frac{2n}{n-2}}^2 }{ \omega_n^{\frac{2}{n}}\|u\|_{\frac{2n}{n-2}}^2 - \int u^2 } \,\Bigg|\, \int x|u|^{\frac{2n}{n-2}}=0,\ \omega_n^{\frac{2}{n}}\|u\|_{\frac{2n}{n-2}}^2 - \int u^2>0 \Bigg\}, \end{equation*} and we obtain the following universal estimate \begin{equation*} \mathfrak{a}_n > \frac{n(n-2)}{4(n^2-3n+1)}, \end{equation*} which is enough for our aim. Determining the exact value of $\mathfrak{a}_n$ remains open.

Lagrangian mean curvature flow in the Kummer K3 surface

A major problem in geometric analysis is to understand the behaviour of the Lagrangian mean curvature flow. This has proved to be a challenging problem, in particular, not many explicit examples of flows that exist for all time and converge to a minimal Lagrangian are known. In this paper we construct new examples of Lagrangian mean curvature flows in the Kummer K3 surface that converge to special Lagrangian spheres. We reduce the construction to a scalar perturbation problem that can be solved by a fixed point argument.

Classification of hypersurfaces with constant principal curvatures in $\mathbb{H}^m\times \mathbb{H}^n$

In this paper, we study the hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{H}^m\times\mathbb{H}^n$ ($m\geq3, n\geq2$) with constant principal curvatures. Let $g$ be the number of distinct constant principal curvatures. First, we classify all such hypersurfaces with $g\leq2$. Then, we prove that a hypersurface with constant principal curvatures and constant product angle function has $g\le3$, and we obtain a complete classification of these hypersurfaces. As a corollary, we classify the isoparametric hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{H}^m\times \mathbb{H}^n$ ($m\geq3, n\geq2$) with constant principal curvatures.

On deformations of foliated complex analytic structures I: Theorems of existence and completeness

We prove theorems of existence and completeness for deformations of foliated complex analytic structures defined by locally free subsheaves of tangent sheaves as analogues of theorems of existence and completeness for deformations of complex analytic structures by Kodaira-Spencer. We prove theorems of existence and completeness for deformations of foliated complex analytic structures defined by locally free subsheaves of cotangent sheaves. The Asymptotic Plateau Problem for $p$-Convex Hypersurfaces in Hyperbolic Space

We solve the asymptotic Plateau problem in hyperbolic space for the curvature given by the normalized geometric mean of the $p$-fold sums of the principal curvatures. For every $n\ge3$, $2\le p\le n-1$, and $\sigma\in(0,1)$, each bounded domain $\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^n$ with smooth mean-convex boundary admits a unique complete admissible vertical graph with prescribed curvature $\sigma$ and asymptotic boundary $\partial\Omega\times\{0\}$. The result extends the known cases $(n,p)=(3,2)$ and $(4,3)$ to the stated range. The key curvature estimate is uniform with respect to the positive boundary height in the approximating Dirichlet problems. The proof establishes two lower bounds for the full third-derivative quadratic form under the linearized constraints: a sharp universal bound with coefficient $2/p$ and a stronger direction-dependent bound when the relevant principal curvature lies in a specified range.

Determination of all diffeomorphism invariant tensor fields on the space of smooth positive densities on a compact manifold with corners

It was proved in [3] that on a closed manifold of dimension greater than one, every smooth weak Riemannian metric on the space of smooth positive probability densities, that is invariant under the action of the diffeomorphism group, is a multiple of the Fisher-Rao metric. Here we extend this result to compact manifolds with corners, and we determine all diffeomorphism invariant tensor fields on the space of smooth positive probability densities.

Schwarz lemma on bounded symmetric domains endowed with holomorphic invariant Kähler–Berwald metrics

We prove a rigidity theorem: a globally symmetric complex Finsler space $(M, J, F)$ is necessarily a Kähler-Berwald space, namely $F$ must be a Kähler-Berwald metric. We also obtain a Schwarz lemma for holomorphic mappings $f$ from an arbitrary bounded symmetric domain $\mathfrak{D}$ into itself whenever $\mathfrak{D}$ is endowed with an $\mbox{Aut}(\mathfrak{D})$-invariant Kähler-Berwald metric $F$ such that its holomorphic sectional curvature is bounded below and above by negative constants $-K_1<0$ and $-K_2<0$, respectively. The novelty of this Schwarz lemma is that the Lu constant of $(\mathfrak{D},F)$ is optimal for each given $F$ whenever rank$(\mathfrak{D})\geq 2$.

Heintze–Karcher-Type Inequalities for the $p$-Laplacian and Serrin-Type Rigidity

We establish a parameterized Heintze–Karcher-type inequality for positive solutions of nonlinear Dirichlet problems involving the $p$-Laplacian, with $p\geq2$, on bounded Riemannian domains. Under a Ricci curvature lower bound, positive boundary mean curvature, and suitable structural and approximation assumptions, the estimate follows from a regularized Reilly-type identity and a weighted Hessian inequality. We compare the resulting bound with previous estimates and investigate the geometry associated with equality. For $p=2$, an exact deficit identity allows the pointwise condition $f'\leq nk$ to be replaced by a weighted integral condition. As applications, we obtain Heintze–Karcher and Soap Bubble-type rigidity results, with equality forcing the domain to be a metric ball and the solution to be radial.

Scalar Curvature Lower Bounds and Convergence in Measure

Assume that smooth metrics $g_k$ converge in measure to a smooth metric $g$. Gromov asked the following question: if all the metrics $g_k$ have non-negative scalar curvature does it follow that $g$ also has non-negative scalar curvature? We answer Gromov's question in dimension three. We show that, without further assumptions, the metric $g$ need not have non-negative scalar curvature and in fact $g$ may be completely arbitrary. However, if one assumes in addition that the identity maps $(M,g_k)\to (M,g)$ are uniformly bi-Lipschitz, then indeed $g$ must have non-negative scalar curvature. Our method of proof can also be used to show that, under an almost Euclidean entropy condition, scalar curvature lower bounds will persist under convergence of the metrics together with their inverses in $L^p$ for suitably large $p$.

Local Combinatorial Criteria for Geometric Hyper-ideal Triangulations via Combinatorial Ricci Flow

We give local combinatorial criteria for realizing prescribed ideal triangulations by nondegenerate hyperbolic truncated tetrahedra. A local bichromatic criterion allows valence-7 edges when tetrahedra meeting low-valence edges use at most two quotient-edge classes. Using the extended combinatorial Ricci flow, we obtain parameter-dependent criteria for triangulations of minimum valence 6. Symmetric and pair-min angle estimates yield explicit valence conditions, including mixed conditions on entire edge stars. The proofs use analytic angle inequalities and rigorous interval evaluations. Explicit face pairings realize the criteria and distinguish their scope, while cyclic constructions and finite covers give infinite families. Each criterion yields a unique zero-curvature hyper-ideal metric and exponential convergence from any positive initial length vector.

Codimension-four regularity of noncollapsed Ricci limit spaces under an integral volume-deficit bound

Let $(X,d,p)$ be an $n$-dimensional noncollapsed Ricci limit space, where $n\ge4$. Under an integral volume-deficit bound, we prove that the metric singular set has Hausdorff codimension at least four and sigma-finite $(n-4)$-dimensional Hausdorff measure. This establishes a special case of the codimension-four regularity conjecture. Moreover, the nonmanifold locus is closed and has locally finite $(n-4)$-dimensional Hausdorff measure, and its intersection with each bounded ball satisfies a tubular-volume estimate of order $r^4$. In dimension four, the nonmanifold points form a locally finite set. A flat quotient example shows that the codimension bound is sharp.
