On Simply Connected Domains Supporting an Unbounded Analytic Function with Bounded Derivative

In this paper we provide a geometric characterization of simply connected domains in the complex plane supporting an unbounded analytic function with bounded derivative, providing a partial answer to Problem 1.45 in the Hayman List. For a given simply connected domain this characterization is achieved by estimating above and below the norms of certain evaluation functionals on a suitable Banach space of analytic functions on that domain by geometric quantities.

Stability and Logarithmic Foliations on Complex Projective Spaces

We study Lyapunov-type stability for invariant algebraic divisors of codimension-one holomorphic foliations on complex projective spaces. Motivated by the notion of $L$-stability introduced in \cite{LeonScardua2018} for plane singularities, we define a projective stability condition which is compatible with the logarithmic setting and controls leafwise holonomy along the regular part of the invariant divisor, while discarding any stability requirement inside prescribed neighborhoods of its singular locus. Our main result then is a global projective counterpart of the local classification in \cite{LeonScardua2018}: for a maximal invariant algebraic divisor, projective $L$-stability together with non-dicritical non-nodal generalized-curve singularities on a generic plane section forces the ambient foliation to be globally logarithmic. As an application we obtain a topological rigidity consequence on $\mathbb P^2$ for logarithmic foliations under mild generic conditions. The proof of the main theorem is based on propagating the consequences of the stability hypothesis through the reduction tree by means of an explicit Dulac transport argument, together with the classification of $L$-stable groups of germs of one-dimensional complex diffeomorphisms.

The Reciprocal Problem on Weighted Bergman Spaces

We study the reciprocal problem for weighted Bergman spaces: if $f\in A_\alpha^p(\Bn)$ and $\inf_{\Bn}|f|>0$, does it follow that $1/f\in A_\alpha^p(\Bn)$? We determine the range of parameters for which the answer is affirmative. In particular, we prove that functions in $A_{\alpha}^p(\D)$ have the reciprocal property for all $\alpha \in \R$ and $p\geq 1,$ where $\D$ denotes the unit disk in $\C.$ Moreover, functions in $A_{\alpha}^p(\Bn)$ have the reciprocal property for all $\alpha \in \R$ when $n=2$ and $p=2.$ In addition, we resolve the reciprocal problem in the three-dimensional Drury–Arveson space $H_3^2$ and obtain an equivalent condition in the four-dimensional space $H_4^2$. We also settle the reciprocal problem for general $A_{\alpha}^p(\Bn)$ under some additional conditions.

On $\varphi$-Normality of Harmonic Mappings and Their Families

In this paper, we present Lappan's five-point type criteria for $\varphi$-normality of sense-preserving harmonic mappings and families of harmonic mappings in the unit disc $\mathbb{D}$. We establish a normality criterion involving the higher-order spherical derivative of order $k$, and $k+2$ distinct test values under suitable conditions. We further reduce the number of test values to $\left[\frac{k}{2}\right]+2$ under an additional differential condition involving the analytic and co-analytic parts. We also prove a generalization in which the spherical derivative is replaced by a polynomial with non-negative real coefficients.

Weak Asymptotic Symmetry of Quasisymmetric Embeddings on Quasilines

We investigate the relationship between weak asymptotic symmetry ($\mathrm{WAS}$) and asymptotic symmetry ($\mathrm{AS}$) for quasisymmetric maps associated with planar quasilines. To this end, we introduce a formally weaker condition, called equidistant weak asymptotic symmetry ($\mathrm{EWAS}$), and prove that, for quasisymmetric embeddings of $\mathbb{R}$ into $\mathbb{C}$, the three conditions $\mathrm{AS}$, $\mathrm{WAS}$, and $\mathrm{EWAS}$ are equivalent. We then establish that $\mathrm{WAS}$ implies $\mathrm{AS}$ for quasisymmetric homeomorphisms from an arbitrary quasiline onto $\mathbb{R}$. More generally, if $h\colon\Gamma_1\to\Gamma_2$ is a quasisymmetric homeomorphism between quasilines and $\Gamma_1$ is asymptotically conformal, then $\mathrm{WAS}$ implies $\mathrm{AS}$. A formally dual statement holds when $\Gamma_2$ is asymptotically conformal, provided that $h$ is uniformly continuous. In the compact setting of bounded quasicircles, these results yield an answer to the $\mathrm{WAS}$-$\mathrm{AS}$ problem posed by Brania and Yang.

Target Geometry in Prescribed-Value Schwarz Lemmas for Harmonic Maps

We study harmonic maps \(F:\D\to G\) into bounded domains in real Hilbert spaces, prescribing \(F(0)\) and \(dF_0(\R^2)\) when \(dF_0\) is nonzero and conformal. We prove a target-independent identity for the Möbius-weighted Hilbert pairing. After normalization, the pairing is affine in \(\|dF_0\|\) with positive slope, yielding an exact equivalence between the derivative extremal problem and a boundary-pairing problem. For a round affine section, this gives a necessary and sufficient integral criterion for the Möbius parametrization to be extremal. A supporting-hyperplane condition guarantees the required integral inequality and characterizes equality. Examples show that roundness alone is insufficient and that the supporting condition is not necessary. For unit balls of real Hilbert spaces of dimension at least two, including infinite-dimensional spaces, we obtain the sharp prescribed-value Schwarz-Pick estimate, all equality cases, and quantitative \(L^2\) boundary stability. We also prove a Cayley-Klein contraction under pointwise distortion. For \(K\geq1\), let \(M_K\) denote the supremum of \(L_F(0)\) over harmonic maps \(F:\D\to\B_H\) satisfying \(F(0)=0\) and \(0<\ell_F(0)\leq L_F(0)\leq K\ell_F(0)\), where \(L_F(0)\) and \(\ell_F(0)\) are the maximal and minimal stretchings at the origin, respectively. We determine \(M_K\), identify the unique optimizing parameter, and characterize all extremals. The function \(K\mapsto M_K\) is strictly increasing, with \(M_1=1\) and \(M_K\to4/\pi\) as \(K\to\infty\).

Holomorphic motions, Assouad dimension and quasiconformal mappings

We study the variation of the quasi-Assouad dimension of a set moving under a holomorphic motion. We show that the reciprocal of the quasi-Assouad dimension is inf-harmonic in the sense of Fuhrer–Ransford–Younsi. As a consequence, we obtain quasiconformal distortion bounds for quasi-Assouad dimension as well as an improved version of Smirnov's celebrated theorem on the dimension of quasicircles. Our approach is elementary in that it does not require optimal Sobolev regularity for quasiconformal mappings.

Bergman Kernels and Hankel Operators on Weighted Fock Spaces in Several Complex Variables

We introduce a class of plurisubharmonic weights on \mathbb C^n and develop a theory of the associated weighted Fock spaces F_\varphi^p. The curvature assumptions are imposed on a \mathcal C^2-regularization at bounded distance from the original weight. Thus the original weight need not be smooth or strictly plurisubharmonic, and, even when it is of class \mathcal C^2, its complex Hessian eigenvalues need not be uniformly comparable. This provides a counterpart of Christ's doubling theory in several complex variables. We establish a global upper estimate with decay away from the diagonal and a uniform lower estimate near the diagonal for the weighted Bergman kernel. These estimates yield L^p bounds for the kernel functions, boundedness of the Bergman projection, and duality and complex interpolation for the associated Fock spaces. For a certain class of weights beyond the uniformly controlled curvature setting, we construct an integral solution operator for the \bar\partial equation and establish scale-adapted weighted L^p estimates for 1\leq p\leq\infty. As an application, for all 1\leq p,q<\infty, we characterize the boundedness and compactness of Hankel operators from F_\varphi^p to L_\varphi^q with possibly unbounded symbols in terms of weighted IDA spaces.

Beyond Sendov's conjecture: the quadratic Tang–Zhang inequality

Very recently, Lech Mazur proved the celebrated Sendov conjecture, and Terence Tao subsequently distilled the main ideas of the proof in a blog post. In this paper, we establish a quantitative strengthening of Sendov's conjecture, namely the quadratic Tang–Zhang inequality. Let $p$ be a polynomial of degree $n\ge2$ whose zeros lie in the closed unit disk, and let $\zeta_1,\ldots,\zeta_{n-1}$ denote its critical points, counted with multiplicity. We prove that, for every zero $a$ of $p$, $$ \sum_{j=1}^{n-1}\frac{1}{|a-\zeta_j|^2}\ge n-1. $$ Moreover, equality holds if and only if $p(z)=c(z^n-\omega)$ for some $c\in\mathbb C\setminus\{0\}$ and $|\omega|=1$. We also provide a Lean 4 formalization of the main results.

Non-tangential ranges of holomorphic functions at Plessner points

Consider the random lacunary series $f(z) = \sum_{k=1}^\infty \frac{\xi_k}{\sqrt{k}} \, z^{2^k}$ on the unit disk, where $\{ \xi_k \}$ are independent standard complex Gaussian random variables. We show that almost surely, a.e. $\zeta \in \partial \mathbb{D}$ is a Plessner point of $f$, yet the image of every Stolz angle with vertex at $\zeta$ has asymptotic density zero. This gives a negative answer to questions of Collingwood and Baernstein concerning possible strengthenings of Plessner's theorem. In this example, for a.e. $\zeta \in \partial \mathbb{D}$, the non-tangential range of $f$ at $\zeta$ has zero area. The non-tangential range cannot be much smaller: we show that for an arbitrary holomorphic function on the unit disk, the non-tangential range has Hausdorff dimension 2 at almost every Plessner point.

Chern-Ricci flow on Kato surfaces

Let $S$ be a Kato surface and $D$ its maximal reduced divisor of rational curves. On $S\setminus D$ we construct Hermitian metrics which are flat along the leaves of the canonical foliation and study their evolution under the Chern-Ricci flow. For Enoki surfaces, we construct an immortal normalised solution which, on every compact sublevel of the natural exhaustion, converges in the Gromov-Hausdorff sense to the elliptic base endowed with an explicit flat metric. For Kato surfaces of intermediate type, the affine Green model and its finite-index extension give, under the assumption $0<\mu<2$, an explicit normalised solution which, on every compact Green block, collapses in the Gromov-Hausdorff sense to a circle. In the Enoki case the limiting area is $2\pi b_2(S)$; in the intermediate case the length of the limiting circle is determined by the Green and leafwise monodromies.

A Uniform Divisor-Comparison Method for Meromorphic Identities

We present a uniform method for proving meromorphic function identities by comparing complete zero and pole multisets. A fixed annular Weierstrass normalization represents every nonzero meromorphic function uniquely as \[ q_t=e^{h_t}\frac{p_{Z_t}}{p_{P_t}},\qquad t=([h_t],Z_t,P_t),\qquad [h_t]\in\mathcal O(\mathbb C)/(2\pi i\mathbb Z). \] Thirteen principal comparisons, together with their specializations and consequences, use the same four steps: represent the two sides, compare their divisors, apply a divisor-comparison theorem (DCT), and normalize $h_s-h_t$. A small library packages classical finite-order, parity, recurrence, and lattice-rigidity arguments for repeated use. The examples span sine, Gamma, Barnes $G$, Bessel, completed zeta, theta, and elliptic functions. Their breadth demonstrates reuse of one proof structure across these families; the family-specific hypotheses and scalar calculations remain explicit. The contribution is a methodological synthesis: shorter proofs where available, and otherwise a modular organization of classical arguments. The fixed factors supply common coordinates, rather than a new uniqueness hypothesis. Historically, the viewpoint is motivated by the nineteenth-century contrast between Riemann's global geometric approach to complex function theory and Weierstrass's analytic construction of functions; the present method deliberately combines global divisor data with fixed Weierstrass factors. An appendix develops the associated ring and field presentations, separately from the ordinary operations used in the proofs.

An $m$-Hessian approach to Yau uniformization conjecture

We develop an \(m\)-Hessian approach to the construction of finite-Monge–Ampère weights on complete noncompact Kähler manifolds. Let \((M^n,g)\) be a complete noncompact Kähler manifold of complex dimension \(n\ge3\) with positive holomorphic bisectional curvature. The main new ingredient is a quantitative capacity mechanism based on lower-order complex Hessian operators. More precisely, we obtain decay estimates for suitable relative \(m\)-Hessian capacities on dyadic annuli and show that these estimates imply the summability of the top-degree Monge–Ampère masses of a uniformly Lipschitz plurisubharmonic exhaustion. Consequently, we construct a proper function $$ u\in PSH(M)\cap C^{0,1}(M) $$ such that $$ \int_M(dd^c u)^n<+\infty. $$ The key point is the passage from lower-order \(m\)-Hessian capacity decay to finite Monge–Ampère mass, which is not a formal consequence of \(m<n\) Hessian mass estimates. We then explain how this finite-Monge–Ampère weight fits into the weighted holomorphic-function and analytic Bezout framework for uniformization. In particular, the construction provides a higher-dimensional pluripotential-theoretic mechanism that complements recent surface results and opens a route toward uniformization under positive curvature in complex dimensions \(n\ge3\).

Generalized Einstein Laurent polynomials, Toric Kähler-Einstein Rigidity, and Finite Exponential Families

We study when the logarithm $\psi$ of a positive finite exponential sum on $\mathbb{R}^d$ satisfies $\det\nabla^2\psi=C\exp(\langle b,\theta\rangle-\lambda\psi)$. This is the Kähler–Einstein equation for metrics induced by exponential maps into projective space and, for natural exponential families, the condition that the Jeffreys prior be a Diaconis–Ylvisaker conjugate prior. First, we classify the bivariate Laurent polynomials with unimodular support satisfying the generalized Einstein condition of Di Scala and Sombra: up to units and monomial changes of coordinates, they are powers of an affine trinomial or products of powers of two independent binomials. Second, we show in every dimension that a smooth compact toric manifold with a projectively induced Kähler–Einstein metric is a product of projective spaces with matched multiples of the Fubini–Study metrics, immersed by a complete Veronese–Segre system up to automorphisms. This proves the compact toric case of the homogeneity conjecture for such metrics and the fixed-point germ and univalent forms of a conjecture of Manno and Salis. Third, without lattice or rationality assumptions, the finite-support exponential families satisfying the equation are, up to affine changes of statistic, exactly the products of multinomial families with a common ratio of categories to trials; this settles the finite-support case of a question of Casalis.

Parametric decompositions into products of involutions

It is a well-known result of Gustafson, Halmos and Radjavi, dating back to 1976, that any matrix $A$ in $SL_n(\mathbb{C})$ is a product of at most 4 involutions. We consider a natural continuous and holomorphic parameter dependence of this result in the spirit of Vaserstein and Gromov. Our main result shows that null-homotopy characterizes exactly those matrices in the special linear group over rings of continuous or holomorphic functions that are finite products of involutions. We give an upper bound $I(n, d)$, depending only on the size $n$ of the matrices and the dimension $d$ of the parameter space, for the number of involutions needed in the factorization. Our upper bound is not optimal, however we show that for fixed $n$ the optimal upper bound tends to infinity as $d\to \infty$. In some cases we are able to determine the optimal bound.

Chern bounds and tangent geometry of polarized Calabi-Yau threefolds

We study the numerical geography and tangent geometry of very amply polarized Calabi–Yau threefolds $(X,H)$ through the positivity of the first jet bundle $J^1(H)$. Writing $d=\int_X H^3$, $c=\int_Xc_2(X) H$, and $e=\int_X c_3(X)$, we exploit two different positivity properties of this single bundle. Mixed intersections on $\mathbb{P}(J^1(H)^*)$ give $e\ge-5d-c-c^2/(4d)$, while a volume estimate for a perturbed tautological class gives $e\ge40d\left[(1-\frac{c}{10d})^{3/2}-1\right]$; in particular $e+6c\ge0$, improving Sun's inequality $e+10c\ge0$. As consequences, we obtain the uniform Hodge bounds $-4d-80\le h^{1,1}(X)-h^{2,1}(X)\le173d/66$, the lower bound $\mathrm{deg}X^\vee\ge78$ for the dual hypersurface, and, in the critical case $X\subset\mathbb{P}^6$, the upper bound $d\le34$. We also prove that, for every $m\ge2$, the tangent-incidence morphism associated with $|mH|$ is the normalization of the tangent variety, conjecture tangent birationality for complete embeddings $X\subset\mathbb{P}^N$ with $N\ge7$, and verify it for several families.

A new degenerated second main theorem for meromorphic mappings with hypersurfaces

We establish a second main theorem with truncated counting functions for algebraically nondegenerate meromorphic mappings into a projective variety and a family of hypersurfaces in subgeneral position. The above bound of the total defect obtained from our result is better than that of the previous results. Moreover, in our result, the truncation level of the counting functions is estimated explicitly and independently of the number of hypersurfaces. Especially, we do not need the assumption that the family of hypersurfaces must satisfy the Bezout properties as imposed in some earlier studies, but only a weak Bezout property.

Composition operators and Carleson embeddings for the Nevanlinna class of Dirichlet series

This paper systematically investigates the structural, analytical, and operator-theoretic properties of the Nevanlinna class $\mathcal{N}_u$ of Dirichlet series, introduced by Brevig and Perfekt [Adv.\ Math., 2021] and further developed by Guo et al.\ [Ann.\ Inst.\ Fourier (Grenoble), 2025]. First, we examine the topological structure of $\mathcal{N}_u$. We then prove a Littlewood–Paley type identity for functions in $\mathcal{N}_u$, establish an equivalent characterization via vertical limit functions, and demonstrate that the interchange of limits in this identity is permissible. In addition, we provide an alternative proof of this identity using potential-theoretic approach. Applying these analytical tools, we study composition operators $C_\Phi$ acting on $\mathcal{N}_u$ and characterize those symbols $\Phi$ that induce bounded composition operators $C_\Phi$. Utilizing Carleson measure techniques on half-planes and infinite-dimensional tori, we characterize the symbols $\Phi$ that generate bounded and compact composition operators. In particular, we prove the complete equivalence between the (vanishing) Carleson embedding condition and the geometric (vanishing) Carleson condition on Carleson squares. We conclude with two function-theoretic applications to functions in $\mathcal{N}_u$.

When can a power series be analytically continued?

A classical line of research characterizes analytic continuation of power series through analytic interpolation of their coefficients. Under suitable hypotheses, the growth of the interpolating function reflects the geometry of the continuation domain, and conversely. We survey the development of these results from Leau and Le Roy through Lindelöf, Carlson, Dufresnoy$\unicode{x2013}$Pisot and Arakelian. We formulate the main results in a unified notation using compactifications of the complex plane. In particular, we give a comprehensive treatment of Carlson's second continuation theorem, which has received little attention, and prove a refinement based on the Laplace transform.

Boundedness in Strict Deformation Quantization

This paper provides a complex-analytic interpretation of certain topologies on the tensor algebra, which are a central tool within strict deformation quantization. We prove that the symmetric tensor algebra $\operatorname{S}(V)$ of a barelled nuclear DF-space $V$ endowed with any of these topologies may be understood as an algebra of bounded Fréchet holomorphic functions on the strong dual space $V'_\beta$. The coarsest of the topologies then corresponds to the topology of uniform convergence on bounded subsets. The finer ones provide an infinite-dimensional generalization of the order of an entire holomorphic function. To facilitate these results, we study the interplay between boundedness and continuity of holomorphic mappings between locally convex spaces. As a byproduct, we establish a simple sufficient criterion for Fréchet holomorphy as well as several completeness results for spaces of bounded functions.

Stability of closed leaves holomorphic foliations via torsion behavior of groups of germs

Consider a compact leaf $\mathcal{L}$ of a holomorphic foliation $\mathcal{F}$ such that all the leaves of the restriction of $\mathcal{F}$ to some neighborhood $U$ of $\mathcal{L}$ are closed in $U$. We show that there exists an invariant germ of analytic set $V$ in a neighborhood of $\mathcal{L}$, of dimension higher than $\dim (\mathcal{F})$, consisting of compact leaves, such that the volume of the leaves in $V$ is uniformly bounded by above. We also provide a globalization of this result if the ambient manifold is projective. In order to study closed leaves foliations, and via the holonomy representation, we introduce a new concept, of independent interest, for subgroups $G$ of germs of holomorphic diffeomorphisms, the so called torsion locus. We show that it is non-trivial if $G$ has finite orbits.

Polarization complete left invariant connections

Let $(M,\nabla)$ be a real analytic Koszul manifold. An adapted complex structure (ac-structure) on a neighborhood $N$ of the zero section in $TM$ is a complex structure on $N$ such that the leaves of the Levi-Civita foliation are holomorphic curves. More generally, a complex polarization $P$ on $N$ is called an ac-polarization if the leaves of the Levi-Civita foliation are tangential to $P$. The bundle of (1,0) tangent vectors of an ac-structure is an ac-polarization. The connection is called entire (resp. polarization complete or simply $\mathcal P$-complete) if the ac-structure (resp. the ac-polarization) exists on $TM$. Although on a small enough $N$ an ac-structure always exists, entire connections are rear and if a maximal domain of definition $N_{max}$ of an ac-structure exists (different from $TM$), $N_{max}$ is a complicated domain. On the other hand in many cases the associated ac-polarization can be extended to the whole $TM$. The main purpose of the paper is to gain better understanding of this phenomenon using a generalized version of the polar map. As special cases we show that many of those metrics studied by Aslam-Burns-Irvine and Halverscheid-Iannuzzi although are not entire but are $\mathcal P$-complete.

On the uniform flatness of polynomial graphs

This paper grew out of an effort to understand the so-called uniform flatness, an important concept in the Bargmann–Fock interpolation theory developed by Varolin et al. We show that the graph of every polynomial in one complex variable is a uniformly flat algebraic curve in $\mathbb C^2$, with vanishing upper density with respect to the Gaussian weight. Combined with a result of Pingali and Varolin, this implies that such graphs are interpolating for the Bargmann–Fock space on $\mathbb C^2$.
